With nearly 20 years of experience at Horizon Health, Dale has developed a strong background in healthcare and leadership. Over the course of 15 years, Dale has worked in the surgery department and has spent the last six years as a supervisor in the Environmental Services Department, overseeing cleaning operations. In addition, Dale served as the temporary manager for the Environmental Services Department at Charlotte County Hospital for approximately a year and a half.
Previously, Dale also held the position of treasurer for their union, managing finances and contributing to important decisions that impacted the local. Outside of work, Dale has volunteered as a baseball coach for both Saint John Little League and Simonds High School, demonstrating a commitment to community engagement and mentorship.

Jeremy has been a resident of The Range since November 2020. A proud husband and father, he works as a special needs school bus driver and also serves as a bus coach, supporting and training new drivers. Jeremy is actively involved in the labour movement, holding a seat on the Saint John District Labour Council and serving as a trustee for CUPE 380.
Outside of work, Jeremy has a deep love for music and enjoys playing guitar. He is also an avid outdoorsman who finds joy in camping, hiking, and fishing.
Looking ahead, Jeremy hopes to focus on volunteer work in his retirement, continuing to give back to his community and helping to ensure The Range remains a wonderful place to live for everyone.

Dr. Julia Woodhall-Melnik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences, in the Faculty of Arts at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John. She is the Canada Research Chair in Resilient Communities and the Founder and Co-Director of the Housing, Mobilization and Engagement Research Lab (HOME-RL). This multidisciplinary lab examines housing through the intersecting lenses of poverty, age, disability, gender, environments and climate, homelessness, and trauma, while prioritizing high quality student training for the next generation of housing scholars within an experiential education framework. Dr. Woodhall-Melnik’s research focuses on experiences of and solutions to housing instability in a variety of populations that are identified in Canada’s National Housing Strategy as in greatest need of access to affordable and suitable housing. She is recognized as a national research expert on Housing First and experiences of home and wellbeing. Dr. Woodhall-Melnik also conducts work on the intersection of housing and climate change. She is the 2022 recipient of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s President’s Medal for Outstanding Research on Housing—the highest honour given for housing research in Canada. She believes that knowledge should be mobilized to advocate for policy change and better health, social and economic outcomes for equity deserving and denied populations. Dr. Woodhall-Melnik is the proud mom of three young children and in her spare time, she enjoys exploring the beautiful natural landscapes of New Brunswick.
Dr. Woodhall-Melnik has board experience, including serving on the Fundy Regional Service Commission and as Vice-Chair for Families and Child Education Services (2020-2022). She was on the Guelph Campus Co-op board (2004-2011), holding various executive roles, and receiving training in housing co-op processes and strategic planning. Her Master’s thesis focused on worker alienation in corporate and co-op settings, and she won the 2007 Lamaire Cooperative Studies Award.

Sheriff is a Program Manager with CHF Canada supporting co-op housing communities across Ontario in leadership and governance. He holds a background in International Development from the University of Guelph and Humber College, with global project experience ranging from Costa Rica to Malawi in sustainable development and access to healthcare resources. He is passionate about equity and youth empowerment, and his proudest achievement is helping 60 Black youth launch careers in film and TV through union partnerships in Ontario. Outside of work, Sheriff enjoys knitting and the adrenaline of completing a pattern.

Gloria is a dedicated human services professional with a background in education, psychology, and social support. Originally from Colombia, she spent over a decade as a middle school teacher specializing in natural sciences, environmental education, and psychosocial support for students and families. In New Brunswick, she is completed her Human Service Practitioner program at NBCC in June 2025 while working full-time at L’Arche SaintJohn, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities through independent living and outreach programs. She has also gained experience in early childhood development through a placement at Little Harvard Early Learning Centre. Gloria holds a master’s degree in Psychosocial Intervention and bachelor’s degrees in psychology and biology. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is known for her empathy, adaptability, and commitment to helping individuals grow. In 2019, she received the Exaltation of Educational Work Award from the Secretary of Education in Cali, Colombia.
